Join Katie Quick, MA, LPC, for a 4-part, LIVE online course as she supports educators who are ready to leave the profession and create happier, healthier lives.

In this course, you will: 

  • Learn how to emotionally, physically, and financially prepare for your departure from education.

  • Create a customized action plan with doable steps toward your end goal.

  • Learn how to deal with the negative thoughts, guilt, grief, and other obstacles that might hold you back from making this transition.

  • Receive the support, validation, accountability and guidance from Katie Quick and other educators who are also going through this process. 


The Details: 

  • This online course, which can be viewed LIVE or recorded, will contain 4, 75-minute sessions including in-depth course content followed by Q+A with Katie Quick for live attendees.

  • Participants will also receive an accompanying digital workbook to support self-reflection, brainstorming, and action planning prior to each session.

  • As an added bonus, participants will have access to a private community of educators and other course attendees allowing for support, feedback, accountability, and validation as they embark on this journey. 

  • All participants will receive the video replay and have lifetime access to all course materials.

This course is presented by Katie Quick, MA, LPC - a former educator, Licensed Professional Counselor, national speaker, SEL Specialist, award-winning singer/songwriter, and teacher advocate with over 17 years in education. Katie received a master's in Counseling from Northwestern University where she researched and presented her capstone project on teacher burnout. Course Overview

Part 1: Making the Decision - Monday, October 18th

  • In our opening session, we will explore what it will look to leave the profession. We discuss the impacts of chronic stress on our mental and physical health as well as our ability to make decisions in the toxic, high stress environment you may be experiencing. You will explore your “why” for leaving the profession as well as begin to visualize the exciting possibilities that lie ahead of you in this new phase of your life. The session one supplemental workbook contains guided journaling exercises as well additional exercises for self-exploration and creativity. 


Part 2: Getting Prepared - Monday, October 25th

  • In our second session, we will outline all of the ways in which you need to prepare yourself to make this transition. From finances to emotional support and overcoming doubt and negative thoughts, we explore all of the ways you can get yourself ready to take this leap. Katie shares stories of her own transition out of education as well as tangible tips, tricks and guided exploration where you can discover exactly how to set yourself up for success. 


Part 3: Creating an Action Plan - Monday, November 1st

  • During our third session, you will be creating a detailed action plan and customized exit strategy. From writing out your SMART goals as well as detailing your specific action steps, you will be mapping out the process from start to finish. We discuss the importance of accountability and support and how to create an incredible support system to have in your corner as you make this leap. 


Part 4: Making Moves - Monday, November 8th

  • In our final session, you will learn what to expect as you start taking action toward leaving the profession. We will share and celebrate our current victories while learning ways to deal with your “saboteur” or the inevitable guilt and imposter syndrome that often shows up as we move closer toward our end goal. You will also learn how to survive your current work environment so you can stay healthy and safe until you are able to make this transition.
